SNAP 2026: Exam Dates, Application, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Preparation, Cut Offs

Course: MBA

If SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, or any of the other Symbiosis institutes are on your MBA shortlist, SNAP is the exam standing between you and that admit letter. What makes it stand out from the rest of the pack is its sheer speed — 60 questions, 60 minutes, no sectional locks — and the fact that you get three separate attempts in the same season, with your best score counted. Registration for SNAP 2026 is already open, so here's everything you need to know.

What is SNAP?

SNAP, or the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It's the mandatory gateway exam for admission into 17 Symbiosis MBA institutes, including well-known names like SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune, and SIBM Bangalore. JK Business School Gurgaon also accepts SNAP scores. Last year, over 1.4 lakh candidates appeared for the test.

SNAP 2026 Exam Dates

SNAP 2026 will be conducted online across three sessions:

  • Test 1: December 6, 2026
  • Test 2: December 14, 2026
  • Test 3: December 20, 2026

You can appear for one, two, or all three sessions. If you take multiple attempts, only your highest score counts toward your final percentile — there's no normalisation between sessions, so a strong single attempt is just as valid as three average ones.

SNAP 2026 Registration Dates
  • Registration started: August 1, 2026
  • Registration closes: Expected around the third week of November 2026 (exact date to be confirmed by SIU)

Registration is a single, one-time process for all three attempts — you don't need to register separately for each session, just pay the test fee for whichever sessions you choose to appear in.

SNAP 2026 Registration Fee
  • SNAP Test fee: ₹2,250 per attempt (plus applicable government taxes)
  • Programme registration fee: ₹1,000 per Symbiosis institute/programme you apply to (plus taxes)

This is one detail a lot of first-time applicants miss — paying the test fee only books your exam seat. It does not automatically register you for any Symbiosis college. You have to separately select and pay for every individual institute and programme you want to be considered for. Skip that step, and you won't be eligible for the Personal Interview round even with a great score.

How to Register for SNAP 2026
  1. Visit the official website — snaptest.org
  2. Click on "Register Here" for new users and create your account
  3. Verify your mobile number and email address using the OTP sent to you
  4. Fill in your personal and academic details
  5. Select your preferred test city (up to 3 choices) and the session(s) you want to attempt
  6. Pay the SNAP test registration fee online
  7. Separately select and pay for each Symbiosis programme/institute you wish to apply to (₹1,000 each)
  8. Download and save your completed application and payment acknowledgement

Test city and date allocation happens on a first-come, first-served basis, so registering and paying early genuinely improves your chances of getting your preferred city and slot. Once payment is made, no changes to test date or city are entertained — so choose carefully upfront.

Eligibility Criteria
  • A bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates)
  • Final-year students are also eligible to apply, subject to specific programme rules
  • No upper age limit for appearing in SNAP
SNAP 2026 Exam Pattern
Detail Info
Total Questions 60
Duration 60 minutes
Sections General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
Sectional Time Limit None
Mode Computer-Based Test (CBT), online

Because there's no sectional time cap and the overall time is so tight, SNAP genuinely rewards speed and accuracy over depth — a very different rhythm compared to CAT or XAT, so treat your prep accordingly.

Admit Card

SNAP admit cards are released separately for each session — expected around November 28, December 8, and December 15, 2026 for the three respective tests. Only a colour printout of the admit card is accepted at the centre; black-and-white copies will not be allowed. Carry it along with a valid photo ID like Aadhaar, Passport, or Voter ID.

Result Date

The SNAP 2026 result is expected to be announced between January 7 and 9, 2027. Candidates can check their scorecard online using their SNAP ID and password. Those meeting the required cutoff for their chosen institutes will then be called for the next round — typically Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test, and Personal Interview (GE-WAT-PI).
