Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, popularly known as Medical College Trivandrum, is Kerala's first medical college, established in 1951. It is one of India's oldest and most prestigious government medical institutions and functions under the Government of Kerala. The college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The institution has evolved into one of South India's largest tertiary healthcare and medical education centres. It comprises more than 40 academic departments, over 300 faculty members, numerous speciality and super-speciality centres, and provides comprehensive healthcare services to patients from across Kerala and neighbouring states.
