NEET 2026 is expected to be conducted in May 2026 in offline (pen-and-paper) mode. The exam evaluates candidates on subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) based on the NCERT syllabus of Classes 11 and 12.

The exam is mandatory for admission to all government and private medical colleges in India, including AIIMS and JIPMER.

The question paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and candidates are required to choose the correct answer from four options. NEET follows a negative marking scheme for incorrect answers.
