Bengaluru North University (BNU) is a Government State University established in 2017 by the Government of Karnataka. It was created after the bifurcation of Bengaluru University to improve academic administration and provide better access to higher education in North Bengaluru, Kolar and Chikkaballapur regions.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes through its university departments and more than 200 affiliated colleges spread across Bengaluru North, Kolar and Chikkaballapur districts. It focuses on quality teaching, research, innovation and skill development across Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, Education and Law.
BNU is currently functioning from its administrative campus in Kolar, while its permanent 172-acre campus at Amaravathi village in Chikkaballapur is being developed by the Government of Karnataka. The university is expanding its academic infrastructure and plans to introduce new interdisciplinary programme

Course Eligibility
UG Programmes: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
MBA: Graduation with minimum qualifying marks as per university norms. Karnataka PGCET/KMAT or other accepted entrance tests may apply for affiliated institutions.
MCA: Bachelor's degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
M.Sc / MA / M.Com: Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline.
Ph.D.: Master's degree with eligibility as per UGC and university regulations.
