Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad is a private management education institute established in 2011 as part of the IMT Group. The institute is located at Shamshabad, Hyderabad, close to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, and operates as a residential business school.

IMT Hyderabad focuses primarily on postgraduate management education through its PGDM programmes. Its academic model combines classroom learning with case studies, business simulations, industry interaction, internships, management projects and international exposure. Courses

PGDM: The two-year full-time residential PGDM is the flagship management programme of IMT Hyderabad. The programme covers core management areas during the initial trimesters, followed by electives and specialization-oriented learning. Students study subjects including business statistics, financial accounting, managerial economics, organizational behaviour, marketing management, operations management, business analytics and corporate finance. The programme also includes a summer internship and management thesis/seminar.

PGDM (Finance): PGDM Finance provides specialized management education in corporate finance, financial markets, accounting, investment-related areas, business analytics and financial decision-making. The programme is designed for careers in financial services, banking, consulting, corporate finance and related functions.

PGDM (Marketing): PGDM Marketing focuses on marketing management, consumer behaviour, sales, brand management, product and market strategy and related business functions. Marketing is also one of the major hiring functions at IMT Hyderabad.

PGDM (Logistics & Supply Chain Management): This specialized PGDM track focuses on logistics, procurement, operations, supply planning, transportation, inventory and supply-chain management. The programme was developed with industry involvement through the CII Institute of Logistics and includes practical exposure to supply-chain challenges.

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM): FPM is a doctoral-level management research programme designed for candidates interested in academic research and advanced management scholarship. IMT Hyderabad provides a dedicated FPM admission and research pathway.

Executive Education: IMT Hyderabad also conducts executive education and management-development programmes for working professionals and organizations. These programmes are designed around professional development and contemporary management skills. 

Course Eligibility

PGDM: Candidates generally require a bachelor's degree of at least three years with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Final-year students can also apply subject to fulfilment of the eligibility requirements. IMT Hyderabad accepts CAT, XAT, CMAT and GMAT scores for the relevant admission cycle.

PGDM (Finance): Candidates require a bachelor's degree with the prescribed minimum marks and a valid CAT, XAT, CMAT or GMAT score. The programme is open to graduates from different academic backgrounds.

PGDM (Marketing): Candidates require a recognized bachelor's degree with the prescribed minimum academic performance and an accepted management entrance examination score.

PGDM (Logistics & Supply Chain Management): Candidates require a bachelor's degree with the prescribed minimum marks and a valid accepted entrance examination score. The programme is designed for graduates interested in operations, logistics and supply-chain management.

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM): Candidates must fulfil the academic and entrance requirements prescribed by IMT Hyderabad for doctoral management studies. Selection is conducted through the institute's FPM admission process.

For the 2023–25 batch, IMT Hyderabad's official placement report records 93% placement, 78+ companies on campus, an average CTC of ₹12.2 LPA and a highest CTC of ₹31 LPA. The average of the top 100 offers was ₹14.8 LPA.

The institute's placement report also shows hiring across Financial Services & Consulting, IT/ITES, Marketing, Finance, IT & Analytics, Operations and other functions. For the 2023–25 batch, IT & Analytics recorded an average CTC of ₹13.52 LPA, while Finance recorded ₹12.30 LPA.

As of 27 March 2026, IMT Hyderabad reported an interim highest CTC of ₹71.2 LPA for the 2024–26 batch. This is an interim single-offer figure; the final batch-wide placement report had not yet been released at that point.
