B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering: The four-year B.Tech programme focuses on computer programming, software development, algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems and emerging areas of information technology. The current 2026 intake is 180 seats.

B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering – Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: This programme focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, data-driven technologies, automation and intelligent computing systems. The current 2026 intake is 180 seats.

B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering – Artificial Intelligence & Data Science: The programme combines computer science with artificial intelligence, data science, analytics and modern computational technologies. The current 2026 intake is 180 seats.

B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering: This programme integrates electronics engineering with computer engineering, covering digital systems, electronics, programming and computer-based technologies. The current admission information lists 120 seats.

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering: The programme focuses on electrical systems, power engineering, electrical machines, control systems and related engineering applications. The current 2026 intake is 60 seats.

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering: The programme provides education in mechanical systems, manufacturing, thermal engineering, design and related engineering technologies. The current 2026 intake is 60 seats.

M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering: The postgraduate programme provides advanced study and technical specialisation in computer science and engineering. Current admission information lists M.Tech as a two-year programme.

M.Tech in VLSI: This programme focuses on Very Large Scale Integration, semiconductor design, digital electronics and advanced integrated-circuit technologies. JIT's published programme information lists VLSI among its M.Tech offerings.

M.Tech in Advanced Communication Technology: The programme focuses on advanced communication systems, electronics, networking and modern communication technologies. JIT's institutional documents list Advanced Communication Technology among its postgraduate engineering offerings.

MBA: The two-year MBA programme provides management education across areas such as finance, marketing, human resources, operations and business administration. The current admission information lists an intake of 180 students.

Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering: The doctoral programme is designed for advanced research in computer science and engineering and related emerging technologies. JIT's current website carries Ph.D. admission notifications for the CSE department.

Ph.D. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering: The programme provides doctoral-level research opportunities in electronics, communication and related engineering areas. Current JIT notifications include Ph.D. admissions for the ETC department.

Ph.D. in Management: JIT's institutional documents list Ph.D. research in Management, providing an opportunity for advanced research in business and management disciplines. 

Fees

B.Tech: Candidates must have passed HSC/12th or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one approved third subject and generally at least 45% marks in the relevant subjects. The Maharashtra State 2026–27 admission criteria specify 40% for eligible Maharashtra backward-class, EWS and PwD candidates. MHT-CET/JEE Main requirements apply according to the candidate category and admission route. Diploma holders with the prescribed marks are also eligible for applicable routes.

B.Tech Lateral Entry: Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology with the prescribed percentage can apply for Direct Second Year B.Tech admission under the applicable Maharashtra admission rules.

M.Tech: Candidates should hold a relevant bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and generally require a valid GATE score for the applicable admission route.

MBA: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks. Accepted entrance examinations include MAH MBA CET, MAH AAC CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT and ATMA according to the current admission information.

Ph.D.: Candidates must hold a relevant master's degree and satisfy the research admission requirements prescribed by the university and institute for the relevant discipline. 

Placement

JIT has an active Training and Placement Department and continues to publish individual student placement achievements. Recent institutional updates include placements with TCS, Cognizant, Bharat Benz, K12 Techno Services and Prospiders.

For the NIRF-submitted engineering data, 198 out of 228 students graduating in 2023–24 were reported placed, with a median salary of ₹3.50 LPA. For the preceding year, 210 of 212 graduates were reported placed with a median salary of ₹3 LPA.

Recent individual placement announcements include a ₹7 LPA Digital role at TCS for a 2023–24 CSE graduate and a ₹4 LPA placement at Cognizant for CSE students.
