National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Panchkula is one of the campuses of India's premier fashion and design education institution. NIFT operates under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and was established nationally in 1986. The Panchkula campus is located in Sector 23, Panchkula, Haryana, and is well connected with Chandigarh and Mohali.

The Panchkula campus initially started with Continuing Education programmes in 2019. Its regular undergraduate programmes began from 2020, with Fashion Design and Textile Design, followed by Fashion Communication in 2021 and Fashion Technology in 2022.

For students interested specifically in Design, the major programmes at NIFT Panchkula are B.Des Fashion Design, B.Des Textile Design, B.Des Fashion Communication and M.Des Design Space. The M.Des programme focuses on areas such as Strategic Design, Experience Design, UI/UX, Design Thinking, Design Research, Design Innovation, Sustainability and Crafts

Course Eligibility

B.Des: 10+2 / equivalent qualification from a recognized board. Candidates from any stream can apply for B.Des, subject to NIFT's admission requirements.

Age Limit for B.Des: Maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1 August of the admission year. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates as per NIFT rules.

Entrance Exam: NIFTEE / NIFT Entrance Examination

B.F.Tech: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.

M.Des: Undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute, or a minimum three-year undergraduate diploma from NIFT/NID.

MFM: Undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute, or a minimum three-year undergraduate diploma from NIFT/NID.
