University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) is the flagship engineering institute of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur. Established in 2004, the institute was founded with the objective of providing quality engineering and technology education through academic excellence, innovation and research. It functions under the School of Engineering & Technology of CSJMU and enjoys academic autonomy in curriculum development.

Located on the 264-acre green campus of CSJMU in Kanpur, UIET offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, vocational and doctoral programmes in Engineering, Computer Applications and emerging technologies. The institute emphasizes practical learning through industry projects, research, entrepreneurship, internships and skill development programmes.
