VEMU Institute of Technology is a private autonomous technical institution located at P. Kothakota on the Tirupati–Chittoor Highway in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The institute was established in 2008 by Prof. (Dr.) K. Chandra Sekhar Naidu and operates on a 16-acre campus.

VEMU is approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTUA. The institute has NAAC A+ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.48, NBA accreditation for five B.Tech programmes, UGC 2(f) and 12(B) recognition and ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The institute currently offers engineering, management, computer applications and diploma programmes. Its engineering portfolio includes CSE, CSE-AI & ML, CSE-AI, CSE-AI & DS, CSIT, ECE, EEE, Mechanical and Civil Engineering.

B.Tech: VEMU offers B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering – Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Computer Science and Engineering – Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Engineering – Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

B.Tech Lateral Entry: Diploma holders can enter directly into the second year of B.Tech through the lateral-entry route. VEMU provides 20% supernumerary seats for eligible diploma holders, with admissions conducted through ECET (FDH) counselling.

M.Tech: VEMU offers M.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, CSE – AI & ML, Embedded Systems and VLSI, Power Electronics and Electrical Drives, and Machine Design.

MBA: The institute offers a two-year MBA programme with a current listed intake of 120 students. The programme is offered under autonomous regulations and follows the applicable AICTE, APSCHE and JNTUA requirements.

MCA: VEMU offers a two-year Master of Computer Applications programme with a listed intake of 120 students.

BBA: VEMU offers a Bachelor of Business Administration programme with a listed intake of 60 students.

BCA: The institute offers a Bachelor of Computer Applications programme with a listed intake of 60 students.

Polytechnic / Diploma: VEMU offers diploma programmes in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

Research Programmes: VEMU has JNTUA-recognised research centres in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Course Eligibility

B.Tech: Candidates seeking admission through the convenor quota must qualify through the AP EAMCET/EAPCET process. For Category-B admission, candidates should have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in the prescribed Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry group subjects; the requirement is 40% for SC/ST candidates.

B.Tech Lateral Entry: Candidates with a qualifying diploma can seek direct admission into the second year of B.Tech. Admission is conducted through ECET (FDH) counselling according to the applicable rules.

M.Tech: Candidates require the prescribed engineering/technology qualification and admission to Category-A seats is conducted through GATE/PGECET counselling. Category-B admissions are handled by the management according to APSCHE and JNTUA rules.

MBA: Candidates require a recognised bachelor's degree. Admission is through the applicable AP ICET/management admission process and prevailing state and university regulations.

MCA: Candidates require a recognised bachelor's degree and must satisfy the applicable AP ICET and university eligibility requirements. VEMU's published eligibility information also specifies qualifying-degree and mathematics/computer-related requirements depending on the admission route.

BBA: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, subject to the applicable university admission rules.

BCA: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. VEMU's mandatory disclosure lists 12th/Intermediate as the qualifying examination for BCA.

Diploma / Polytechnic: Candidates seeking admission to diploma programmes should have passed Class 10. VEMU's admission procedure specifies a minimum of 50% marks, reduced to 45% for SC/ST candidates, for the prescribed route.
