APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), formerly known as Kerala Technological University, is a State Government University headquartered at CET Campus, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It was established on 21 May 2014 with the objective of providing leadership in technology-related policy formulation, engineering planning, higher education and research in Kerala.

KTU's role is different from that of a conventional single-campus college. It regulates the academic standards of affiliated colleges and programmes in engineering, technology and allied disciplines while also conducting its own postgraduate and research activities.

B.Tech: Bachelor of Technology programmes are offered through KTU-affiliated engineering colleges across Kerala. The university regulates the curriculum, academic schemes, examinations and degree-awarding framework for numerous engineering branches including Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and other approved branches.

B.Arch: Bachelor of Architecture is offered through KTU-affiliated architecture institutions. The programme covers architectural design, building technology, planning, structures and related areas according to the applicable university and professional regulations. KTU's research framework also recognises Architecture and Planning as academic areas.

M.Tech: KTU regulates a wide range of postgraduate engineering programmes. Current university-school offerings include M.Tech in Mechanical and Materials Technology, Electric Vehicle Technology, Embedded Systems Technologies and Infrastructure Engineering and Management. Course Eligibility

B.Arch: Candidates must satisfy the prescribed higher-secondary qualification and architecture admission requirements, including the applicable aptitude/entrance requirements under the current Kerala admission rules.

M.Tech: Eligibility depends on the specialisation. Candidates generally require a relevant B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent qualification. For current M.Tech programmes offered through KTU's university schools, selection is based on GATE score, University Entrance Test and/or interview depending on the programme.

M.Arch: Candidates generally require a recognised B.Arch or equivalent qualification and must meet the applicable postgraduate architecture admission requirements.

M.Plan: Candidates must hold a relevant bachelor's-level qualification and satisfy the programme-specific admission requirements prescribed by KTU and the concerned institution.

MCA: Candidates require a recognised bachelor's degree meeting the applicable university and programme requirements. Exact subject and percentage requirements can vary according to the admission notification.
